Up In The Air

Hello Crafters

Time for another challenge at Daring Cardmakers.

We would like to see a sky or flight related card this week.

When I saw the challenge I thought of clouds straight away and wanted to feature them on my project.

I also got a little inky and created my own background using a template which is from a die set called "sending Sweet Thoughts" from Paper Sweeties.  I used the frosting from the cupcake as my cloud.

I inked around the cloud in different colours just randomly over a square of white cardstock.

I then cute a few clouds from glitter card as embellishments and added a few sequins.

The little girl image is from a digital download from My Time Made Easy called "Raimbow Wishes".

March Inspiration Challange

Hello again.

Two posts on one day but if I didn't post this one I knew I would forget as I have already posted it to a Facebook group.

This is card for the monthly challenge over at Paper Sweeties,

Look at the lovely photo for inspiration.

I created a coffee themed card using a couple of sets from Paper Sweeties called.

I love these two sets and they work perfectly together.

I created a little chalk board using a selection of the stamps and added some of the gorgeous sequins also available at Paper Sweeties.

Hope you can stop by the Paper Sweeties blog and check out all the lovely inspiration from the Design Team.

Dreamy

Hello all.

I am sharing another Fiskarettes design team card today, this time using the feather squeeze punch.

I created a shaker card.  I just love making these cards as you can just about put any small embellishment inside them.  I decided to use the feather punch and I used several types of card including glitter, mirror and vellum.

For the shaker element I cut several frames using the stitched dies from Stampin Up and I also added a few sequins and tiny stars.

I then used a star embossing folder to create the background and added a few feathers.

The sentiment is from a download at Docrafts which I thought matched the theme of the card perfectly.

Have a great day and I hope you can stop by the Fiskarettes UK Facebook for more lovely ideas using their fantastic range of punches.

Green and a Glimmer of Gold

Hello Crafters.

Another Friday means another fantastic challenge from Daring Cardmakers.

This weeks challenge is Green with a Glimmer of Gold.

As its St Patricks Day, Lythan our host would like to see green on your cards with a dash of Leprechauns gold if you like.

I used green card for my jar which I stamped and then embossed in gold.  I love using embossing powders and then watching it turn to a lovely liquid.

I created a shaker card for this one and filled it with gold.  Did I tell you I love shaker cards and I just love the Jar of Love stamp and die set from Stampin up.

I then had to include a rainbow as you always find gold at the end of one.  I then mounted the whole thing onto some green mirri card.

Dont forget to stop by the Design Team blogs for more lovely inspiration.

Have a great weekend.

News!!!

Hello everyone.

I have some exciting news to share.  I am now a Fiskarette.  I have joined the Fiskars Design Team for the next 3 months and I can't wait to show you some of their fabulous punches.

I am sharing a project today to get you ready for Easter.

I have made a sweet little Easter basket using the Butterfly Squeeze Punch.

I even made the chocolate to go in it but that didn't last long.

Here is a little template to help you.

I started with a 6"x 6" piece of designer paper.  I scored it at 2" and 4".  Then rotate the paper and score again so you have a grid pattern.  Fold these lines which are the dotted lines above.  Then cut diagonally on the lines which are solid.  You should now be left with little triangles.  Glue these triangles together to make your basket shape.

I then added a handle and decorated it with the little butterflies.  I cut three and glued them on top of each other to make them more 3d.

Check out the punch I used HERE.

March Elemental Inspiration

Hello All

I just wanted to share with you my card I made for the elemental inspiration challenge over at Daring Cardmakers from last week.

We were having a few internet problems at the time so I didn't manage to make my blog post.

I wanted to share my card with you as its such a lovely inspiration picture.

So the elements I picked were the colours, circles from the tables and I went with a house as it was a living room.

Remember you need to pick at least 3 elements when its the first Friday of the month.

I used the stitched circle dies and Home Sweet Home bundle all from Stampin up to create the house and background.

Dont forget to stop by the Daring Cardmakers blog to check out this weeks challenge which is called

Take the Rough with the Smooth

Rough and Smooth

Hello everyone.

I was MIA last week due to our telephone company carrying out an upgrade on our internet.  Which was great news as it meant faster broadband.  But then we were hit with a storm of winds gusting up to 110km an hour.  As it was very windy a tree blew down near our house and pulled out the phone line.  So now we are awaiting the arrival of the phone company to repair it and I am not sure when it will be.

Anyway I am afraid I couldn't post last weeks challenge from Daring Cardmakers and I am a bit late with this weeks.

This weeks challenge is hosted by Joanne and is called "taking the rough with the smooth".  So this week we would like to see something smooth and rough on your cards.

I think I went with the easy option this week and picked glitter for my rough and mirri card for my smooth.

I made some Star Wars characters using the Owl builder punch from Stampin Up.  I had so much fun creating them.

I then got my geek on and thought outside the box.  A scene in the film sees CP3O not been able to go the same way as R2D2 as it was much to rocky (another rough element).

I think my brother would appreciate my post as he is such a fan of Star Wars.

I then continued the space/sci fi theme with lots of die cut stars and some star embossing on some lovely black mirri card.

Hope you can stop by the Design Team Blogs for more inspiration.
