Wonderful Wood Grain

Hello everyone,

Its Friday and new challenge time at Daring Cardmakers.  Its Nat's turn to host this week and she has picked

 Wonderful Wood Grain.

You could heat emboss, dry emboss, stamp, and stencil so many different techniques to use.

I went with dry embossing and used a folder from Stampin Up.

I then created a little chalk board and used the embossing folder as the frame.

The stamp sets I have used are from Paper Sweeties called Coffee Yes Please and Sending Sweet Thoughts.

I then used some of the pretty sequins from Paper Sweeties on the cupcake.

Raspberries and Lime

Yes its Friday!!!  We have family over at the moment which is lovely for the children to see their Auntie and Uncle from England.  Nothing much planned as the weather isn't in our favour but its nice to catch up over long lunches.

Well as its Fridays its challenge time at Daring Cardmakers and this weeks dare is hosted by Svenja who would like to see bright pink and green on your cards.

I made this card using the stamps set from Paper Sweeties called  Sending Sweet Thoughts and I also used the matching sweet cut die set.

I love the little sentiment and I finished with a few gems.

A Room With A View

Its my turn to host this weeks challenge over at Daring Cardmakers.  As I live in some of the most beautiful countryside in Brittany, France my dare is called.
A Room With A View
I would like to see some sort of window or aperture on your card featuring a picturesque view.

I have made a couple of cards.  Sorry to say one of them is a Christmas card which I made the window scene into a shaker card.

I am not much of a stamper so I had a play with my blue ink and made some clouds for the background.

Elemental Inspiration.

The summer holidays are going fast and its August already.  Which means as its the first Friday of the month its elemental challenge time at Daring Cardmakers.

Here is the beautiful picture to get your creativity flowing and remember you need to use at least 3 elements.

The elements I have used are the patterned papers, chair, organza, flowers, wood and a distressed/shabby chic look.

The papers are from Prima and the chair is a stamped image from Papermania and the Chatsworth house collection which I have had for ages.  I then distressed all the edges of the papers using the edge of my scissors and inked up the edges in Tim Holtz distress ink in Tea Dye.

I made the little organza flower by melting the edges with a tea light and added some sparkly beads to the centre.  I finished with a few flowers and a wooden butterfly.

Happy Birthday Papersweeties

Its Papersweeties 4th Birthday and what better way to celebrate with this lovely challenge:

I was inspired by the colours, the cake stand, macaroons and flowers.
Such a pretty inspiration photo.

I used some pretty papers and topper from Authentique and the sentiment is from Paper Sweeties called Sending Sweet Thoughts.

I then added a die cut cake stand and added some little tea roses.

Don't forget to stop by the blog for more lovely birthday celebrations.

This card is also for the challenge over at Mojo Monday.
