Geometric Patterns

I am late again with this post but had a busy two weeks as my little lady has been off school for the winter holidays.  So we have been busy crafting together making toilet roll owls, heart paper chains and just out and about.

It's Zuzana's turn to be our lovely host over at Daring Cardmakers this week.

This weeks challenge is all about geometric patterns.  If you check out any of the interior design magazines it's trending at the moment so how about including it in your card making.

To use this trend on my card I have used some backing papers from Trimcraft which I purchased from the lovely craft friend Karen and Kerudoc Creation.

I have kept the card simple as thought this would be a great male card.

Sorry for the quick post.  I have got to blog and run today as I have a lot of catching up to do with house work etc.....

Elemental Inspiration

Where did January go? I can't believe we are into February which means it's Elemental Inspiration time over at Daring Cardmakers.

Just look at the gorgeous inspiration picture for this weeks.  There is lots of elements to choose from and don't forget you need to pick at least 3.

For my card this week I have used the colours of the photo, frames, pink flowers, the word love and one of the papers I have used is script to match the heart in the picture.

The papers are what I had in my stash from Pink Petticoat.  The frames are a die cut set from Spellbinders called Marvelous Squares. The love text is cut from a patterned paper also from Pink Petticoat and I then added some little pink paper flowers.

Balloons!!!

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend.  My little dude managed his first proper steps over the weekend but as soon as you offer any encouragement he would just sit back down. We are getting there!!

It's challenge time at Daring Cardmakers. This weeks challenge is all about Balloons.  Our lovely host Leo would like to see balloons on your card. This could be an image featuring balloons or even a die cut.

I went with die cut balloons with lots of sparkle.
I made my card with a child in mind as I have lots of birthdays coming up from my daughters school.
I then added a little cupcake and flag
