Cupcake 185.... The Sound of Music

This weeks challenge over at Cupcake Craft Challenge is the sound of music.  Your project had to be inspired by music or include a musical element.

I have made a summer holiday type of card and was inpsired by "Jolly Holliday" from Mary Poppins. I think it was more the title of the song rather than the film but I love the film and can't wait for my daughter to be old enough to sit and watch it with me.

All the spotty papers and the ice cream digi stamp are from Pink Petticoat.  I have also made a little beach hut and included some bunting.

TSTR week#107 - 'Bright and Beautiful Spring'

More inspiration and a great challenge from the girls at the Shabby Tea Room.

This weeks challenge is to use lilac, yellow, blue, kraft and a butterfly and the photo below for inspiration.

Here is my entry:

I have taken an old jar which I think had cranberry sauce in it.  I kept it because I loved the shape and though I might use it one day.

I have included lilac, yellow and blue flowers and the little with love tag is made from kraft card.  The lace rossette I made myself which was a first attempt and I then added some distress ink just to alter the colour slightly. I have then added butterflies which are stamped in black.

Wedding Bells

What a beautiful day just right for a spring wedding so here is my first wedding card of this year.
I wanted to make something a little different and noticed that birdcages seem to feature as wedding centrepieces or decorations on some of the websites for weddings I have looked at. I think my inspiration came from HERE

I tried to stick with neutral colours for the card.  All the backing papers are from Pink Petticoat.  The bird cage has been stamped in silver embossing powder which is from Papermania Chatsworth House collection and the butterfly is from Papermania Summer Bloom collection.  The little crown and keys are from my beloved Prima Printery stamp set and I have stamped them in black and covered them in clear embossing powder and added a little glitter.  All three stamp sets I love as they seem to cover most occasions.

Princess Birthday

Here is my daughters 3rd birthday card. We are having a princess themed party for her this year so thought would make a princess card including a little princess crown charm.

The stamps are from Kanban and all the papers are from Pink Petticoat Perfect Papers.
I have coloured the princess and cupcake stamps using a mixture of paper piecing and pro markers.
The little stars I picked up a local shop which sells everything for weddings, parties etc... They have some gorgeous little embelishments for cards, I could spend hours just looking.

Cupcake 183.... Going Dotty

Here is my entry into the Cupcake Craft Challenge.

The theme is Spots and Dots.

The stamped image is from sliekje digi stamps. Which I have coloured using promarkers.
The spotty paper is from Pink Petticoat and I have made some paper flowers using Spellbinders Rose Creation die. I have also added some crackle accents to the biscuits just to add a bit of interest.

TSTR Week #105 - 'Spring is Near'

Spring is definatley here in France today, bright blue sky and lots of sunshine and my daffodils are starting to appear, lovely.

So here is the weekly challenge at The Shabby Tea Room, above is the picture for inspiration and you have to use at least 3 colours and dry embossing.

I have chosen to use papers from Pink Petticoat called autumn blossoms, which seems a bit strange considering its a spring card.  I then have made an organza flower and some paper flowers using Spellbinders Rose Creation die.  I have also added a few gems and for the dry embossing part I have used Spellbinders floral doily dies and ran it back through my Big Shot to get the raised embossed effect.

Liebster Award

I have been given a Liebster Blog award by Whimsical Whispers

The LIEBSTER BLOG AWARD is used to show appreciation of smaller blogs (under 200 followers) and to help spread readership and joy. It comes from the German meaning Dearest or Beloved, but can also mean Favourite. As part of the tradition, the award is to be passed along to five other blogs that have motivated and inspired me.

The other rules are:

The blogs I choose must have less than 200 followers.

I must comment on their blog, so that they know about it.

I must link back to the person who gave me the award and thank them, and post the award on my blog.

These are the five inspiring people that I would like to give this award to:
